BP3 Hold The Horsepower Just Won This Beauty On Ebay
This is a 1955 International Harvester S-110 series, short box pickup (115 inch wheelbase); 100% stock.
This truck came with documentation, including original registration, build sheet (window sticker), and several restoration receipts.
This truck has the stock, heavy duty, Black Diamond 240 ci engine rated at 140 horsepower (the other models were 100 HP). It has the four-speed synchromesh on the floor with a granny gear. The electrical is a 6 Volt system.
The pickup has been driven only 200 miles since a frame off restoration in 2003 (tires still have all the rubber studs on them).
Everything was replaced or redone in 2003 including engine rebuild, body and paint work, interior, undercarriage, new chrome, tranny, tires, electrical, etc. (hub caps were the only thing not redone). New rubber trim has been installed on the doors, and elsewhere. This was not factory but it sure cuts down on noise and helps seal the cabin.
The original truck is a low mileage, rust free truck that spent time in both California and Colorado. This Binder still sprots the original glass except the windshield.
Paint is very nice - no scratches, dents, etc. (two very minor scruffs from hood). Rare Blue and White two tone color (original pickup was Seafoam Green). Bed and undercarriage is powder coated black. The body and fenders are straight.
The S series is unique due to the tapeziod-shaped grill and the headlights set in the crowns of the fenders. The International has a very unique hood latch with front-opening, right and left side hinges depending upon where the work needs to be done. By opening both the right and left hinges, you can easily, and completely, remove the hood.
Truck runs fantastic and always starts with the first try and will do 55/60 MPH comfortably on the highway.
